IMPACT wins 2008 Best in Maryland Award!


The Public Relations Society of America announced its Best in Maryland Award winners last week and IMPACT took one of the honors. The annual competition, which pits Maryland's marketing and public relations (PR) firms against each other, is judged by PR professionals in other states. IMPACT won in the "Advertorial" category for Duane Carey's work on behalf of the Melting Pot restaurant in Annapolis. The winning advertorial ran in the 2008 Wedding Guide section of the Taste of the Bay magazine and was titled "Four Reasons The Melting Pot is a Bride's Best Friend". The ghost-written piece ran in the February issue and has produced an astounding return on investment, covering the initial costs more than 15 times over - and counting. The restaurant continues to book large bridal parties, rehearsal dinners, and showers each weekend as a result of the ad.
